Rocky horror picture show

Last night we saw the rocky horror live on stage. This is a pic of Craig McLachlan as frank. OMG what a fantastic job he did.
It was a brilliant adaptation and no one tried to be like the actors in the movie. They all took their parts and made them their own.
It's funny and rude but if your a fan you will love it!
There were some small children there last night but I wouldn't recommend it for under 15.
So if you get the chance I recommend you take that jump to the left, and then step to the right and do the time warp
Because you will have a blast

Busy caterday

It's been a very busy day today. Lots of people have been in and out. Visiting children, visiting children's friends. And even mummy and daddy's friends.
Stuff being moved out of the house into a big thing parked outside which I'm dying to see but ofcaurse  I'm not allowed to go outside.
Mummy hasn't sat with me all day. She has been very busy.
But now she is under a blanket working on her crochet squares and I can finally snuggle and have a sleep.
Don't like it when there are too many people but I was brave and said hello to them all.
But now it's just me and mummy. Just as I like it.
Have a great weekend

The latest toy

Here is the latest and last camper trailer. As hubby is going alone. He needed something he. Ould put up himself. I picked this as I would be happy to spend the weekend in this. But not much longer lol
So here are the 360deg photos of the inside. To erect all you do is undo the clips holding the roof down and wind it up. That's it oh yeah and put the door in a two minute job. Then it's sit and relax. It has reverse cycle heating and aircon if you are able to plug into powe but the rest is three was. It even has a hot water system and an outdoor shower!

So what do you think. It's perfect for two. And if your only going away for a few days I think it's purrfect. Any longer and I'm taking  the big van.
Call me a princess but at my age and chronic pain levels I need my creature comforts.
So hubby will leave in two weeks for his big adventure up north. I hope he has fun, catches lots of barra and no crocs get him

Just the thing

Today I ventured off to Sams warehouse to get some bits and pieces for our new van. I need sheets primarily as all ours are queen size but the bed in the van is a double.
I spotted this little thing which I have wanted for so long. I did envision a huge wooden one but this would do just fine.
Once home I put it together, all by myself. Did a good job I think.
And yes it's purple. I love purple can you tell lol
So I now have turned this,
Into this. Much neater and I have my chair back.
Clever arnt I?

Did you guess

Slippers. That's what I was making. How cool are they!

Crafting along

I've been busy crafting after doing my back making the bed up after washing the sheets.
Here is another infinity scarf. The last one for a while. It's for the older sister of the two nieces I'm going away with. They wanted them after I made their mum one so as they all have the same to wear while I. Europe
A baby blankie for our youngest worker, can't believe bubs is due in three weeks!
I have finished this now and along with a few bits and bobs is ready for its owner to arrive!
Going back to the original flowers I started. I used the wrong pink for the centres that's why I made the other blanket. I have 120 of these ready for the final round of double crochets to turn the rounds into squares.
And this morning after seeing a project on Pinterest I have been using up my odds and ends making these little granny squares. I have three more of the solid colour ones to make and then I'm reqdy to join them up. Any ideas what they will be?
That's for another post.
Enjoy your Sunday.

Unseasonal weather.

The weather is un seasonally warm. All the doors and windows are open and I'm enjoying this beautiful weather. It's more like spring than autumn.
I've just come from across the road and I had to take a photo of the full moon.
I know it will get cold soon so I'm getting as much sunshine as I can while it last.
Have a great night where ever you are

Finally autumn

The leaves have finally turned and have fallen. Winter is coming. We have had very mild weather and even the flora is confused.
Missed the colours, was worried it wasn't going to happen this year.
How the weather at your place, normal or abnormal for this time of year?

Call the midwife

Ages ago I was told about a series "call the midwife". But I never seem to be watching the TV when it was on
The other day I actually saw an episode and I really did like it
So I found the first two seasons on DVD at a reasonable price and a further 20% off.
How could I resist, so I bought them and I'm now half way through the second series. What a brilliant program. If you get a chance to see it do.
It's set in East London during the 50's and follows the lives of four midwives working as district nurses through the local parish.
It's based on the journal writings of one of the nurses, jenny, and her journey.
Every episode you cry, either tears of joy because a baby is born. I'm a sooky lala. Or because of something tragic.
It's real life and all it's up and downs.
I can't wait to get series three.

Enders game

After seeing the trailer at the pictures, I was interested in reading this book. I downloaded it that night and read it in the next week. I really liked it but as for the next one in the series I just couldn't get into it.
I didn't go see the movie at the pictures because of this but bought it yesterday.
If you haven't read the book it may be a little hard to follow as it does rush past some pints. But it is a good sci fi flick if you like those.
If you have read the book you will enjoy the movie, but as for all movies it leaves things out which I think are vital to the plot. But that's just me.
So I suggest if the weather is terrible. Like it is here today and you want to see something a little bit different give it a go.

Finished

After being confined to bed for two days I have finished my blanket. It's the perfect size for snuggling on the couch.
I think this will go into the Christmas gift pile.
I hope the person getting it will like it.
What do you think? Not bad for something that stared off as a mistake, hey

Feeling poorly

I have been so good for so long I almost forgot what it was like to be really sick.
I had my usual aches and pains and the constant fatigue. It other than that I was doing ok.
Until yesterday. I woke with a very sore throat and this morning I felt like I was hit by a truck!
The flu has got me and bad. Spent the day in bed alternating between being so hot I had the fan on me and being cold and snuggling under the doona.
Hubby thought I was crying but no I'm just leaking out of my eyes and everything else in my head feels all stuffed up
Only good thing I got lots done on the blanket and watched another three episodes of Harry potter.
Other than that nothing got done.
Hopefully I'll be a lot better tomorrow as I hae been on flu tablets all day and I'm aiming to get back into the pool on Wednesday.
Wish me luck
Keep well all
