Crochet for a friend

A friend asked me for a couple  octopus for premie twins her best friend had
I’ve  ever made these before although I have seen them on the net
So I researched all about them
Found a pattern and a you tub tutorial
And this is the result
Not perfect by any means. But they do meet the criteria of cotton, non allergenic stuffing and
Apparently they are not allowed to be black or red
So within those parameters this is it
The twins are boys so I went for a mid range blue
I hope she likes them
They were made with love and best wishes for the boys
Have you made any? If so I’d love to see them

Product review. Backpack vacuum

Last week I bought this backpack vacuum from Aldi
Now we all know how much I love Aldi and their social buys

This backpack vacuum is lightweight and very easy to manoeuvre
It’s easy to get the head off and get into the corners. Which my dysons weren’t
Your not pulling along a vacuum so it’s great on my back, shoulders and arms
And it has a strong sucking action.  It picked up all the little bits of wood that get dropped when we bring it into the house

But it has two things I’m not thrilled about
1. Even though it’s lightweight and you can hardly feel it on your back
Don’t Bend too far over. It will push you lol

2. It’s got a standard head on it. So I guess I’m going to go and have to get a more robust one

And finally
You will feel like a ghostbuster while wearing it

So
Who you gonna call!
Other than that. I’m happy with it
I only paid $129.00 so even if I have to spend another $50 -$100 on a power head it’s still a cheap vacuum cleaner
I’ve only used this in the house
But I’m thinking vacuuming the car is going to be much easier with this.
And it’s got a 10 meter long cord
So there you go
If you can still get one and have thought you might like one
I suggest you do. The price isn’t extravagant and I’m sure you will get your money’s worth

Phase two begins

So
The kids rooms have been emptied and carpets pulled up.
Ready for the painter to start in a week
Only my bedroom left and we will do that during the week
Caravan has been set up right outside so we will use that for sleeping
Not enjoying the upheaval and I always hate the mess
But once it’s done. It’s done and won’t need doing again for at least 15 years
I hope
By which time I’ll probably won’t be here
See ya

HOTH

The only up side to crashing is getting my Craft on
I’ve been working on this C2C
Right now I’m in the process of making it a rectangle
So increasing on one side and decreasing on the other.
Once it’s long enough I’ll start to decrease on both sides
It’s going to be a blanket for melody
Today the weather is very bipolar. One minute there is sunshine and the next, it’s black and the wind picks up
And rain comes pelting down
Explains all my pain yesterday and this morning
So what’s on your hook/needles?
Do you craft to lose yourself and not feel your pain?
I’d love to know

Crash

I’ve been doing too much
Way too much
My body has retaliated
Pain levels are very high
Stupid me
Going to have to listen or I might not be able to get up soon
I’m going to be good and just plod along at home
Today is Friday
If I rest for three days I might be able to go back to the pool Monday
That’s a big if, going by my pain
Wish me luck
See ya

Back to bling

Because of fibro pain making me feel like anything close to my skin was either like barb wire or hot pokers
I had to take all my jewellery off.
This made me very sad as I love bling
My poor ears were the worst the earrings felt like they were just hot metal rods and even my hair brushing
Last then was excruciating pain
So out they came

Fast forward three years

Now I’m so much better
I’ve started wearing my watch, and my bracelets
And I wanted to put my earrings back in
Oh no.
The holes had closed and no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t get the earrings in
So today I had them re pierced

I was a little scared
I don’t like pain and I was worried I would feel lots of pain
But no. As the holes were still there. Just closed in the back it didn’t hurt at all
So I’m almost back to full bling

I’m very happy.
These little milestones as proving I’m on the mend
I’ll never be cured, but I am loads better and I’m managing it all
Feeling very happy
