I always loved these granny square blankies but I was never sure how to join them. I didn't want to just sew them together as I didn't want seems. So I youtubed and got the answer I needed. Now I have been joining these for a couple of years as I put it away and forgot about it, but I'm back in the swing and now I have forty squares joined, with only another sixty to go!
and of course there is always that helping hand, pain in the neck, helping me. There is no show without punch is there.
I am thinking of starting a granny square blanket. Love your helper - she is very cute!!
ReplyDeleteI'm about to start my first granny square blankie too. Looks like a few of us will be joining you, Angela. Sue
ReplyDeleteThat's great guys. Make sure you post about the progress so we can all see how we are going. I'm thinking I may have to make more squares as I want the blankie to be rectangle and at this stage it's going to be square. So I'll be working on it for a while too!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason or another I have never been able to learn how to crochet - it's something to do with holding the wool/yarn in the left hand. Will just have to sit in the corner and knit lol
ReplyDeleteTake care
