I woke yesterday morning. Fed the dogs and cats, then into the kitchen to make that magical brew.
Coffee.
I noticed a couple of ants.
I move the pod machine and there was a cluster of them.
I quickly wiped them away Getting rid of the pheromones so that others would come looking for them
With all the rain we have had. I think we are getting even more.
The ants always know.
And no. There were no crumbs or any food out to entice them in.
I will be on the lookout for any other mischievous ants looking for a nice warm winter home

ReplyDeleteI am battling carpet beetles. When I first saw some a few years ago I thought they were cute little ladybirds and ignored them for a couple of years, then I found out what they are and that they are actually making holes around the edges of my carpet. I have tried natural methods to get rid of them, without success, so I have just ordered some targeted insecticide spray to ramp up my efforts. I hate killing things but this is now all-out war!
They can really ruin your carpets. Definitely war
DeleteI had serious ant problems and found they'd nested under the siding. Big expensive professional treatment followed. Now they're rare. I don't like sharing my counters with them.
