Cleaning up

Hubby borrowed a machine to help sort and clean the huge pile of rubbish left by the tradies

He sorted all the hard rubbish from the dirt and had made a huge dent in the pile. It will be gone very soon 

I collected all my statues from the garden and washed them down to get rid of all the dirt

And there was a lot 

But now they are drying in the sun. 

Once the garden is mulched they well go back in 

So slowly the back is taking shape. Still along way to go but progress is alway great to see

Queens birthday weekend

Today although the sun is out its very windy. But I really wanted to get stuck into these and make them pretty. 

Before the extra garden bed I tried to grow vegetables in these but they just weren't deep enough. So I decided to grow flowers instead. 

Do I got all the weeds out. Not easy as they were stubborn little buggers  and added more potting mix. 

Then I planted bulbs and some seedlings

And mulched. I might even get some pain and paint pretty flowers on the blue tubs. What do you think? It really was quite a workout pulling those weeds. My arms are killing me and I worked up a sweat!

So um going to shower and then putter around inside waiting for the footy game to start.

A sad, happy birthday

For those that have been following my blog for a while know about the cancer journey I travelled with my best friend Leanne. 

You will also know that last November she lost that battle 

Here she is at my daughters wedding. A week later she was gone 

Here she is being silly like we alway were she told me never to show anyone this pic. But hey I've hung on to it so I'm going to show you lol 

Here we are with her Steph mum and me at chemo.

Today is her birthday. The first without her and it's been painful. But I know she would want us to be happy and live our lives

So I say happy birthday Leanne. I love and miss you everyday
