Update

sorry no pictures today. Just information

Hubby rang to say the surgeon had visited. She told him the  spur had gone in so far it had hit the knuckle bone.

She also informed him that she is very confident that it’s all clean and that it shouldn’t get an infection.

Still she wanted him to stay the extra night.

Side note:

When explaining what had happened to the various doctors who initially talked to him. Apparently there were five!

Not one of them knew what a spur was.

They all pulled their phones out and googled it.

Hubby then pointed out where the offending appendage was.

It just goes to show. No matter who you are or how educated you may be. There is always something you can bring to the table and pass on  knowledge to others.

Hopefully I can spring him tomorrow and he can come home

  1. Bet there wasn’t a country ‘lad’ amongst them or a horse rider to put two and two together

  2. Quite a relief that he's almost out of there. I once had a doctor who kept looking up words I'd said in the dictionary. I fired him. Bad enough not to know them but making me wait while he thumbed through the dictionary!

  5. That sounds phenomenally painful. That rooster needs some solitary confinement.
