Last week Ana was playing with her aunts doll.

Yup this baby has been here for years!

Annie undressed it and wanted a nappy for her.
I think she originally did have some, but unfortunately they haven’t survived.

Today I made myself a pattern and using that, with scraps, have fashioned two diapers

One to wear and one to change

Once I had finished the two nappies, which took way longer than I thought. I needed to find a picture to use as my block to arrange all the smaller blocks of insects

I decided I needed a fairy toadstool home.
I’ve got a fairy stitch pattern and that gave me the idea.

I’ll use that one as well. But I needed something to pull it all together

I used to draw these for my daughter to colour in when she was little. We didn’t have money for colouring book. I drew lots of pictures for them to colour

Wonderson wanted trucks, cars, and tractors
But fairy stuff was baby girls favourites

Using my light box I’ve transferred the image into my fabric.

Once the outline is finished I’ll embellish with flowers and maybe an insect or two.

It’s large, about A4 size. A good block to build around.
This quilt is going to be tricky. Lots of measuring and making filler blocks.

A problem for later.
For now I’ll start on the fairy home and see what’s next
I hope my new little granddaughter will love it

No pictures as blogger is playing funny buggers. I hope to fix the issue soon
