Another Easter has come and gone

Fairies

I’ve been wanting to make a fairy garden for ages 

Lots of them to inspire me on Pinterest. Yup. That old chestnut lol 

Anyway I’ve Been slowly collecting the bits and bobs and this is the result 

The is the fairy garden area 

I’ll slowly add more to it 

I hope the girls like it

Alpacas and yet more poodles

A few months ago we lost Rupert my chocolate coloured alpaca 

We don’t know what happened. It’s just one of those things 

I was pretty devastated about it. And poor Albus was lonely for company of his own kind 

Although he and the sheep get on really well 

But yesterday Joy my friendly alpaca lady brought me two new ones so I could choose 

Who can choose! 

I took both lol 

So the big white is Albus 

The little grey one is Gandalf the grey 

So I had to pick another wizard name so the small white one is 

belgariad from the Belgariad 

Can you tell I love stories about wizards and magic lol 

They have settled in really well and are all friends 

Let the magic begin! 

Making scones and I couldn’t resist using my new poodle cookie cutter 

I think they are cute. Don’t you?

Trixie won’t feel left out lol

IBS

Yesterday at the cafe where we have coffee after swimming I had my usual skinny latte 

Only it tasted very creamy. I didn’t think anything of it. Until I got home and I started having issues. 

I spent most of the day and night going to the toilet 

Anyone that suffers irritable bowel knows it’s not nice and the pain is most unpleasant 

But this little girl has not left my side. Even during the night. She would wake up when I left the bed and wait for me to get back 

Then she would snuggle me helping me to go back to sleep 

It’s amazing how quickly we have bonded 

If ever there was a doubt that I made the right decision to buy a poodle puppy they are all gone 

She is a joy and blessing 

Me. Well today I am so very tired and worn out 

I’ve stuck to black tea all morning 

I’ll be spending the day resting here on the couch and watching movies while working on my crochet squares

Blissful Sunday

I’m sitting outdoors enjoying the sunshine and crocheting dragonfly squares. 

Indoor chores done washing machine going and watching hubby clear the garden beds for our winter planting 

It’s just too hard for me to do now   Especially as they were neglected over the very hot summer 

This is why we now only have two 

I wonder how many more sunny days we will get?

Storing up on that vitamin D

What’s for dinner

Trixie is a fussy eater. She likes her food to be varied. We won’t eat the same thing for breakfast then lunch or even dinner. 

So I’ve had to make a variety of foods for her 

I was using mince. But she has decided she likes to chew her food. So that’s great for her teeth! 

I’m the bowl I have boiled chicken thigh fillets 

Peas corn and pumpkin 

And brown rice 

She could smell it all being prepared and was making noises saying I’m here. Feed me 

SHE HAS NEVER DONE THAT BEFORE 

 As you can see she loved it. And ate the whole lot up 

The rest will get portioned out and frozen for later use 

Let’s hope she continues to love it for a while lol

It fits

Remember the jumper I made for trixie before I even picked her up. Well I tried it on her today and it fits 

It didn’t take long for her to get used to it and I’m sure she is enjoying being warm

I bought a jumper for teddy for only a few dollars and they match 

They look so cute together 

It’s almost the weekend

Muriel’s wedding

On Tuesday the swimming girls and I went off to spend the day in the city and see Muriel’s wedding the musical 

Our train line is being upgraded so the trip into the city promised to be an adventure on it own 

We boarded a train in cranbourne 

Had to change trains in Dandenong 

Got off the train in  Caulfield and got onto a bus 

The whole thing went off smoothly without having to wait hours and really only took twenty minute more than normal 

A great start to the day 

We spent the rest of the day shopping, eating, drinking and laughing 

Having a wonderful time. 

The show started at 7.00 and we were throughly excited. 

We had heard great things. And we were not disappointed 

After the show we called an Uber and got home way before midnight. 

So if you get the chance I nightly recommend Muriel’s wedding 

If you liked the movie you will love the stage show. 

As for me. It’s now Thursday and I’m still recovering 

Having a chronic illness makes you pay dearly for having a normal happy day 

But I think it’s totally worth it

Wordless Wednesday

A very long night

Poor little trixie. She got a bout of diarrhoea from her vaccination 

She reacted last time too. But she had the poops during the day 

She was such a good girl. She woke me up every single time 

No accidents 

I did have to clean her up once but other than that. She just wanted to snuggle as I’m sure her

Poor little tummy wasn’t feeling good 

This morning 

Well she was a bundle of energy, feeling as happy as Larry 

She is currently at work with hubby in a warm office 

Me. Well I’m exhausted 

I’ve stripped the bed and have sheets on the line before seven in the morning

Washed her blanket 

And now enjoying a much needed coffee 

If it continues today I’ll take her to the vet. But I think it’s pretty much over 

She slept for a solid two hours before being woken up by the cat wanting breakfast 

Let’s hope

Growing up

Today this little bundle of joy got her last puppy shots. So except for her desexing op in a few months she 

Should be vet free for another year 

After we got home from the vets she just ate her lunch and promptly fell asleep next to me on the sofa 

I needed to run back into town to get a few bits and bobs and thought. Well she is now running in and out to toilet 

And she has the other dog and cats for company 

And she is happy to have me leave the room for ages without her crying 

So I took a chance and left her home alone! 

I was a wreck 

I was gone maybe 35 minutes all up 

I came in the house 

And she got off the couch and said. Oh. You left. I didn’t even notice

So the first time left alone was a success lol 

I did buy her a few toys so I gave them to her for being such a good girl 

Me. Well I think I need a stiff drink!
