Demolition

Hubby continued to demolish the old pool area today. 

Soon it will be a clean slate and the rebuild can begin. I know what I want it to look like so I'm very excited. Hopefully soon we will be enjoying our new outdoor entertaing area.

Cleaning windows and other things

It's the end is summer, and hopefully the dust. So I moved everything from out front and washed them art down. See the dust on the swing chair. 

My tools. A brush bucket of soapy water. I use hubby's truck wash doesn't streak. And a hose

Wet them down soap up and rinse 

Clean windows. For a few days any way. Living on dirt roads you learn to live with less than sparking windows 

And of course I only ever do anything with bare feet!

Will let everything dry off before putting it all back

Pretty toys

I couldn't help myself. The girls love the tunnel I fist got bella when she was a kitten. So when I found this one at the reject shop. I had to get it. And I got them a new toy rat to play with too. One each! 

I know. But they are my babies lol

The weather has taken a turn. You can tell summer has gone. But I'm not complaining. The days are nice enough to have all the doors and windows open. Loving the fresh air. 

Enjoying it for as long as I can before we have to light the fire, but it's made me want to go outside and spit more wood. 

If I have the energy I might just go and do that for a little while

And so it begins

This ugly old pool, that hasn't been used in years is getting a make over. As you can see the fence need replacing as well. Don has pulled some of the fence down already and he will start to lift the decking. We will try to same as much of it as possible and recycle it on anther part of the project. 

When finished it will be an outdoor room for us to enjoy. 

I'll get you posted with updates as it happens. We are going to do a lot of the work ourselves to save money. But of course that means it will take a little longer. But that's ok. The aim is to have it finished by chris as as its my turn this year . 

All very exciting. To day is labour day so we are just going slow and steady.

And my project. Sitting in bed working away because pain is high today. I have my girls so I'm not alone. An audio book and all is well in my world.
