Frosty and frustrated

The last week or so. We have been having very cold nights. Which means we wake up to frosty white mornings 

It really doesn’t show just how white it is 

The grass crunches when you walk on it 




It’s been so cold I’ve had to turn on the ducted, central, heating to get the house warmed up. 

The fire will then keep it toasty warm in here 




Last week I purchased a Nespresso coffee machine for the van. 

It’s small and light. Perfect right?

But the blooming thing doesn’t work. 

We were on the phone with the help desk and they confirmed it was a lemon 

We were told to box it up again and contact the manufacturer. 

As I got it through Amazon, I just went into the app, 

Asked for a replacement and sent it through 

They replied no replacement available. 

So a refund was requested. Great we get a number and a link to paper work to print and stick it to the box. 

In the paper work it says will be picked up

In two business days. 

Perfect 

We are now in day three and no pick up. 

I did ring the help number and left a message for a call back 

Within half an hour. I got the call. 

They asked for the special number. Great.

I head towards the box and the phone cut out 

I’ve not heard a thing since then. 

I tried to ring back, I could

I will place another request today when business hours commence 

Meanwhile. I’ve not been to my mums.  

Having to wait for the courier. 

I’ve been ringing every day to let her know I’m not coming 

It’s been very taxing on my stress levels and I’ve been having anxiety attacks. 

I’m that person, who once I give my word. I keep it 

I know life happens and this isn’t my fault. But I still feel like I’m letting people down. 

Anyway. That’s my issue and I’ll deal with it 

Right now I’m sitting under a quilt with a poodle and having my morning coffee. 

With all the wild weather around the world right now. 

Stay safe everyone. Hopefully it all settles again once the seasons change.

Or were wheels 

Well they still taste nice and they will get eaten 

We don’t fail, 

We learn. 

Hooray

We have finally had some good rain. 

The ground quickly soaked it all up because it was that dry

I hope we get even more rain. We really need it 

After art class, which ran overtime by 45 minutes, I came home and headed into the kitchen 

The cold weather makes me want to cook 

All these ingredients were used. 

I made two tuna bakes. 

They’re only small, but they will still feed us over the two days and I’m sure there will enough for hubbys lunch Monday 

I also made another half batch of the 100 cookies recipe 

This time I rolled the dough out, spread the jam,  snd then rolled into a Swiss roll. 

I made two rolls. They need to be frozen so I can slice them into thin slices. 

I’ll get them out tomorrow and let the thaw a little before slicing and baking. I’ve not tried this before so I hope they work. Even if they look like a hot mess, at least I know they will still taste good 




For dessert I made a dump cake. This time I used canned fruit.

The rest of the day was spent watching the footy, our team won. 

And now I’m sitting with the fire roaring. 

I’ve not been able to sit and knit lately so progress is slow. 

The good think is, it’s mindless and I can do it and not think of anything. A blessing right now.

Today Ana was much better 

We had to watch lots of pepper pig 

And frozen TWICE 

She’s studying the DVD cover. 

She’s learning the song. 

You’d think she could read she looked at it that long 



After frozen we had arts and crafts 

She gets right into her work 



We opened some more puzzles. These ones were harder. 30 pieces 

Then we played hide and seek 

You could her her giggling from the living area 




Daddy collected her and the went home 

It’s been a long busy week and I’m in lots of pain

Meds and an early night tonight for grandma 

Honestly I wouldn’t change it in the world 

Extra day

Ana still wasn’t a hundred percent well. So an extra day at grandmas was in order. 

Grandma made cookies and they were a hit

Seconds was asked for. She hasn’t been eating much so it was just nice to see her enjoying food again. 

I did ask her mummy if she was allowed couple more and I was given the green light 

The 100 cookies recipe. I again only made a half batch, and got 54 cookies

Ana wasn’t interested in helping in the kitchen. 

She says she was going into her room to clean

It definitely did not sound like she was cleaning at all.

But she was adamant that she was cleaning. 

Inspection later in the day proved my suspicions correct. 

Obviously cleaning means something else to Anastasia 

lol

Poor Trixe was exhausted. 

All the girls learn that if Trixie goes into her bed to leave her alone. 

She frequently went back to her bed during the day 

Daddy has picked her up and taken her home 

By the end of the day she was definitely feeling much better. 

She looked much better than she did on Friday 

Most of the afternoon was Ana walking around the house singing “ let it go” at the top of her voice. 

She only knows let it go and repeats it for what seems like hours! 

Grandma definitely needs an early night tonight, that’s for sure 

Winter is coming, Maybe

The nights and mornings have been quite chilly. 

As my home is made using besser bricks, I do know they’re known by another name in the USA but I can’t remember it right now 

It gets cold in here quickly. Great in summer, not so much in winter 

I decided to light the fire last night, and this morning, it’s still going. 

It was a cold foggy morning so it was needed 



Perfect weather for slow cookers 

The vegetables in here are my frozen summer harvests 

The meatballs were bought ready made. 




I got myself a Mother’s Day gift 

A little loom. I think I’m going to have fun (stress) working it all out. I’ll definitely take pictures of how it’s been set up 



As I was out half of yesterday. I went to my mums to do the shopping with her. I’ll be found doing  very little today. Just what absolutely needs doing. 

And I’ll definitely be staying home 

Because of this I’ve half changed out of my pj’s

The warm pj pants I’m leaving on. 

Add my hairy coo’s slippers

And I’m as happy as a pig in poo lol

The temperature is predicted to be in the low 20’s. But it’s not till later and it won’t last long 

I am so ready for winter. And rain! 

We need lots more rain. 

Could y’all send it my way please. I don’t want to go out and water everything
