The empty nest. Rebooted

Today the son and daughter in law move int their new home 

The nest will become empty again 

But his time although it's sad. I'm not as devastated as I was before. 

I know know, through wisdom gained by experience, that they never really leave. 

It's not the same as having them here all the time, but I think it's much better. 

I see my kids weekly as they both work here. So I'm not crying in my coffee cups lol 

So now that the nest reverts back to hubby and me, I have big plans 

Stay tuned! 

Long weekend here in Melbourne. 

The AFL grand final is tomorrow.  My team didn't make it. So I'm jumping on the other Victorian team Richmond.

Amara

Meet amara. Pronounced ammmmarrrraaahhhhh lol 

She was born on Thursday afternoon and I'm pretty sure she was a  preemie

She was very small and no fat on her at all 

A neighbour saw her and rang hubby, while a second neighbour saw her and collected her 

Just as wonderson had gone in to get her 

She is being bottle fed and loving cared for. 

We have given her colostrum and is having lots of bottles of formula 

Here she is sitting on hubby's knee while he watches television. 

Being so little she sleeps a lot and spends the night in the bathroom. We are keeping her very warm as it's still really cold outside 

Please pray she makes it. Losing her now would be heart breaking! 

Her mum just walked away from her and we even tried to get her to take her the next day. But she didn't even have any milk 

Nothing came out when hubby checked. 

This is her first lamb  so maybe she is too young. 

So this is what has been keeping us busy

Happy birthday hubby

Yesterday was hubby's 56th birthday. 

So I had a lovely roast dinner for him and an ice cream cake. We didn't plan anything as we have all been sick with the flu. But I invited the couple who we recently went away with at the last minute as we did feel better 

He had a lovely surprise and Jody brought party hats and Lolly bags lol 

Wonder son and lovely daughter in law were also here  so it was quite the party Happy birthday hubby. Hope you enjoyed yourself
