Organising

This morning I headed down to my mother’s. I took her to the cemetery and then home. I also delivered food that I had cooked and frozen for her

On the way home I decided to go into spotlight
I needed another bag of stuffing for the Izzy dolls
A couple of flat cotton bed sheets.
They were on offer at $13 each. A bargain
I use them for the backs of quilts. Much cheaper than buying from a quilt shop, and still 100% cotton

I also picked up a few more skeins of embroidery floss.
This isn’t what I bought today I had all this in my sewing boxes.

I bought containers and the little plastic things you wind the floss on

I’m just going to sit and watch  call the midwife and slowly wind and store the floss.

I’ve got a couple more boxes and more plastic thingies in the craft room.

I’m exhausted from the busyness of today
I also shopped and had lunch with all the swim gang.
About 13 of us. There are more but they were busy

Once I bring in firewood before it rains, which I will do once I hit publish. I’ll not have anything requiring immediate attention

I’m definitely ready to just veg out and relax

  1. Those embroidery silk storage things are brilliant aren't they? Someone donated boxes and boxes of thread done like that to our Afghan refugee sewing school- and it makes it so easy to see and sort the shades.

  2. I like spotlight!! It is so much easier to buy fabric in NZ, not just in big shops and 100% cotton anything too.
