Pro tip

Do not try to knit a complicated pattern when your tired and emotional

This is the fourth incarnation of the little cardigan
The first was green cotton. I blamed the colour for all the mishaps

Changed colour and the same thing
Dropping stitches
Losing my place
Trying to un knit but getting all fuddled as there are a lot of yarn overs
And finally getting to the part you separate the sleeves
And finding out you have extra stitches

14 extra!

But I don’t give up
I frog and start again
Because I’m a sucker for punishment

  1. Yes, there's a time for simple knitting and a time for patterns. But you'll get it, undaunted.

  2. Keep on keeping on. Maybe a simple pattern would have been easier just now. But, those complications keep you occupied, your mind on something else. When you get it right you'll have a memory from this time.....

  3. There are times when 14 extra stitches just become sleeves with more 'ease'. Tired might heal relatively quickly, emotional will take longer. Strangest things make that tight feeling rise in ones throat and the eyes start to prickle. You have good close family around so I hope you can be at ease with the emotional. There's nothing wrong with living and missing your Dad.
