today was a public holiday. Ana told her parents she still wanted to go to grandmas house
grandma Was happy to have her
earlier in the week I had gone to the reject shop and stocked up on craft supplies
Ana excitedly opened all the packets of stickers
while I organised the beads
we did make a few bracelets but I forgot to take a photo
I also bought a memory game we had lots of laughs playing Ana couldn’t help herself and was telling me where the matches were
tomorrow is the big GF game we are going to my daughters in-laws home to watch I wanted to make scones to take
Ana helped roll out the dough
because she worked hard I decided that we needed to make something for her to take home to share
These little cupcakes are made using the pancake mix that comes in a little plastic bottle. You add water and mix. It’s great for camping. It’s also very easy to pour out the batter
as they’re not sweet I added a small teaspoon of strawberry jam in the middle of each one
my team isn’t in the grand final so I’m not invested in the outcome which means I can just enjoy the game, without anxiety. I wish the members who do follow each team good luck
I do hope it’s a nice day for them all
What a great day for Ana! I remember playing Memory with my much older sister, and I was hopeless at keeping quiet about the matches. Little kids have great visual memories, I think. Not as much to be concerned about as adults, so they can be in the moment.
