Sick day

today I was supposed to head into Cranbourne and have coffee with the girls.

Didn’t happen. I woke with a very sore headache, and my legs felt like the had gone AWOL. I could hardly walk. The walking stick had to come out of retirement

I had a doctors appointment at lunchtime but I couldn’t trust my legs to drive. Hubby had to take me

Doctor asked what I had been up too

I told her. She just looked at me and said

“ I think I’ve found the problem “

I’d just done too much.

I ended up having a really hot shower and that allowed my muscles to relax and things started working again.

Meanwhile daughter in law got a call from daycare saying baby Georgia wasn’t feeling well and should come home

As usual. It was a day of meetings so she couldn’t leave work.

Wonderson rang and asked what I was planning.

I said staying home nice and warm so little Georgia came to stay with grandma for the afternoon

You can see her cheeks are a little red.

She does have an ear infection and another tooth is cutting through

She was a little warm but not enough to have to give her medication

So I warmed up some milk and she pretty much drunk it all with barely a pause to take a breathe

Once finished she snuggled in and fell asleep

I have to admit I was napping on and off the whole time.

It really is the best thing when your feeling poorly

A decision on if she’s well enough for daycare will be made in the morning

If needs must, she will come back here

We can nap and get better together

  2. Napping sounds like it was the perfect thing to do for both of you.

  3. I'm glad you're doing better now. And what a blessing you are for your grandchildren, when they can't be in daycare or school.

  4. Your napping day clearly provided wee Georgia with permission to nap too.
