As promised finished shawls

My daughter in law has help model my pineapple shawls. Top one s peacock blue and the bottom purple

And the current project a festival shawl ill finished the pink ball of yarn then use purple.

So what do you think. I love shawls so the more the merrier I say.

Settling in

They are becoming more friendly every day. Although agatha is so full on bella hides just so she can sleep. 

Here she is watching me while I crochet in the craft room. She loves being able to see outside as well 

But finally after a full on day playing with everyone. She bombed out. 

Yup settling in well.

My new baby

Meet agatha. She is a rescue I acquired yesterday. She stole my heart and I had to bring her home

Bella was very put out and didn't want to talk to me or the kitten. But this morning they are interacting although it is very warily. 

They are playing cat and mouse and she one is stalking the other it's all good until they get too close. Then it's like are you playing or are you really going to attack me? But they  are getting better and better

So now we are a two fur baby family. 

Just like old times really. Only more fur and less talking back haha

Stage two complete

We attached the black plastic around the inside today 

We added extra screws because we won't be able to do the next stage of filling for at least a week. But if you fill the same day you don't need to add so many on the inside 

How they look this will help protect the tops as well and save me getting splinters

We had terrible storms here last night but fortunately there was no damage. We did lose power for about five hours over night. How did you all go. Hope your all well and are enjoying your Sunday

Computer class

On Fridays at the community centre we have a computer class. Shirley and I have been teaching whoever wants to learn how to Facebook, Pinterest,access their emails and all sorts of things.

In the top photo Shirley is showing Barb how to find knitting patterns and save them to a memory stick.

But mostly the ladies like to chat.

I can't believe it's Friday again. Hope you all had a great week. The weekend is almost here

In the garden

Yesterday we weeded this garden bed. It was left fallow to rest but two cherry tomatoes self seeded. 

It was so hot that by the time we wedded and don mowed we didn't get the chance to put the new beds in till this morning. So now they are in place with lots of room for the mower to get around them. Now we will line the sides with black plastic and then fill with compost.

Don't they look bright and colourful.
