I’ve had this song stuck in my head since yesterday 

The fire has not been burning properly and I’ve been smoked out for over a week 

So I let it go out and called the chimney sweep 

Here he is with the industrial vacuum going. 

Trixie is keeping an eye on him. Quality control lol 

He said it was pretty blocked so it should burn right now 

Soon I’ll have it lit and I’ll be toasty warm again 

I’ve got the ducted heating on. But it’s just not the same 

Hope your toasty warm or staying cool. Depending on the weather your having

Sleepover at grandmas

It’s been a long time since melody had a sleep over 

So yesterday her mamma dropped her off and we had so much fun 

First there was building with circles

Very proud of their creation 

Watching wiggles with her doggie best friend 

Trying on grandmas glasses when the wiggles sing about wearing their seeing glasses lol 

We also feed the sheep and the cows 

And all the fur babies 

And finally sleeping with grandma in the spare big bed 

Breakfast this morning 

And then back home 

She missed her mummy and her sister 

We all had fun 

But grandma and grandpa are both tuckered out now lol 

What a blessing this little is girl is

Signs of spring

The sky is blue

The lawn is green 

And new growth 

Although it’s not predicted to last. Next week is another wet one apparently 

For today I’m going to enjoy the sunshine

Locals

My friend Nancy and I have been walking most Thursday mornings for a few weeks now 

We have been walking around the cranbourne botanical gardens, usually just the Australian gardens in the Centre 

Today we decided to do one of the walks around the main garden area 

These are some of the locals we saw. This little guy literally jump across our path 

Frightened the life out of me lol 

These two were just enjoying the sunshine 

Living the life 

And this little guy was just heading back to the water after a little wander 

This is how far we walked 

We are in training for a trip we plan to take next year. 

But more about that in another post

Girl Power

Today my wonderful daughter in law Nicole and her lovely sister Amanda 

Came over to help me put the trundle bed together. 

Nicole is a wiz with flat packs so she was the one in charge. 

Amanda and I were her helpers 

Here it is all finished 

Bed, trundle and drawers. 

During the week I’ll slowly bring all the toys back and organise the room 

I’ll buy some single bed sheets and half make up the beds 

And just slowly get it all sorted.

It was all done quickly and no heated discussions

Moving right along

And suddenly is August oh my where has the year gone

Even though I changed the calendar over and I knew it was August I 

Didn’t realise it properly until I heard one of the commentators on the football 

Say there were only three weeks left in the home and away season 

That shocked me 

The finals fly by and then it’s the grand final and then bang it’s Christmas 

Hubby is recovering well. He has been good and doing as the doctors told him 

Soon his sling will come off and he will start physio 

Im not going to the pool super early but I’m still getting there most days so that’s good I guess 

Meanwhile I’ve been going to go and buy a trundle bed for the girls room but life happened and I haven’t gotten there. 

So Friday I looked it up on the net and did a phone order. The bed was delivered on Saturday 

How easy is that.

The boys will come over and help me put it together one day this week  

I’m sure it should be pretty easy. 

I’ll need to get sheets and a doona for them. But I’ve decided I’m going to make two of these butterfly blankets and use them on the beds 

I have 93 squares so far. I’ll need 99 for each blanket 

9 across and 11 down 

Do they look like butterflies?

So I still have a long way to go. Which is fine 

They are easy to do and I make a few each night watching the telly. 

I can feel spring coming. Still bitterly cold but it’s getting lighter earlier each morning 

And they days have lovely sunshine. 

All in all life is moving along nicely
