Alice

Alice has gone. 

Here is the original post in earthmama when I first got her 

Isn't she pretty 

She has gone to a nice family who have got her for their daughter.  

She was a great car. Leanne and I had lots of adventures in her. Baby girl then inherited her and she loved her as well. 

Now she will be loved by anther family. And the wonderful thing is, they too name their cars and said they will keep her as Alice. 

It was sad to see her go, but times, and needs change 

I hope the new owner has many years of happy travels with her 

Still here

Nothing much has been going on here lately 

Still spending lots of time with the grandbaby. She is growing like a weed!

The weather is doing its usual unppordictablity thing. One day is lovely and sunny the next missable 

This is playing havoc with my pain levels. 

But apart from all that. All is good with the world 

Will jump on and see what is going on with you all.

Movie review

Tonight I went to the movies with my sister in law 

We saw Bridget jones's baby 

We have both seen the first two movies and although we loved the first one, we were a little disappointed in the second. 

It wasn't a bad movie. Just not up to the first ones standard. 

So off we went to see this latest instalment eager to see how Bridget's life had progressed. But a little worrie we were going to be disappointed. 

So happy to say it was very a great movie. 

It's been ten years since we last saw Bridget and her family. 

They are all back for this movie with the exception of Daniel Cleaver.  Although he is mentioned in the movie! 

So if your a fan of Bridget Jones, I recommend you go and see it. The story line is predictable but it is believable. And of course you have to find out if Bridget finally gets her happily ever after. 

But then again, it is Bridget so you just never know what will happen in the future. 

Bridget jones episode 4 maybe?

Miracles

It always amazes me when something that looks dead and gone, suddenly bursts into life

Every year I cut these back and every year there is that lingering doubt. 

Did I kill them? I'm not that confident about my green finger. I'm pretty sure if you put stuff in and leave it alone except to give it water when it's dry  things can't help but grow. 

I mean in nature things just seed and grow on their own. 

So when my roses spring back to life. Seemingly overnight. I always send up a very grateful thank you to the universe 

Because I'm sure that some divine intervention preserves them each year 

And really isn't that a miracle? 

Where once there was nothing now there is life? 

Just my ponderings this morning

Father's Day 2016

Happy Father's Day to all the dads, and those taking on the role of dad

Domestic issues

This is Horacio and hestia. They hav successfully mate and laid five eggs 

Unfortunately they are not Nice to the other birds in the large cage. 

They would constantly fight with the others and she would often try to take over the other nesting boxes 

So while she was in sitting on her eggs I moved the nesting box into the smaller cage and then I caught him and moved him in as well.

She stayed in her nesting box and he just jumped back on top and both were very happy 

Meanwhile peace was restored in the large cage. Both the couples in this cage just stqrted the mating dance with their partners. 

Horacio wouldn't allowe the others to mate. 

Every time a couple would start to act like they wanted to mate. He would attack the male and she would go into their nesting box and not allow the other female in 

So this is now my back veranda. It's a much nicer and quieter area. 

I hope the peace will last

Hello September

September has begun, wow time is really accelerating these days! 

Spring has now sprung. But you wouldn't know it today 

It's overcast and on the cool side. But at least it isn't raining. 

I don't expect the weather to really change until the Equinox. But still the idea that the days are getting longer and it will start to get warmer is exciting 

Too wet to work outside right now. The lawns need to dry out but soon seedlings will be planted and the very productive part of the year will begin. 

New beginnings. Means we always have the opportunity to start again
