No not feasting in the garden. Bringing all the garden abundance into the kitchen for our dinner
I made some vegetable fritters
I grated zucchini, potatoes, onion, and a little capsicum that was sitting in the fridge Mixed it with eggs and a couple of tablespoons of flour. I found a bag of 00 flour with just enough flour to add into the mix
Fry them up by dropping spoonfuls into the pan

Served with a salad of tomatoes, cucumber and some feta cheese.

The cheese didn’t come from here. It’s my contribution to the economy

It was very lovely indeed. Even if I do say so myself

There are fritters left for the boys to have for lunch tomorrow
I think I need to grocery shop tomorrow
Which is perfect timing as I’m meeting the girls for a coffee in the morning
Garden fritters and salad. A perfect summer meal. You need a milking goat now to make cheese 😄
ReplyDeleteNo I don’t think so. If I was younger definitely
DeleteThe fritters are a terrific idea. Noted! And that cheese is a staple in my house.
ReplyDeleteAlways have feta. It pretty much goes with everything I say
DeleteMmmm, those fritters look good!
ReplyDeleteThey were. Hubby ate the lot! So no lunches for him today lol
DeleteThat has made me decide to make fritters this week. The feta cheese here is, however, dire. Whoever is making the feta we get needs to spend some time eating feta in Greece and learn to make something that isn't tasteless glue.
ReplyDeleteWe have a few different brands. But the one I use is made from sheep and goats milk. Nice and creamy. I do by the cheaper, made from cows milk, if I use it in cooking
