Todays weather I hope it’s not a glimpse of things to come
My new bigger dehydrator arrived today. So tomorrow I’ll be able to finished that box of tomatoes and maybe a zucchini as well
Hubby replaced the torn tarps with one big one.
The chickens will love having all that shelter from the rain
Ana has been so good today. She’s played and had heaps to eat. The antibiotics are working a treat.

Currently sleeping but she’s due to wake up soon.
Due to rain we won’t spend time outside. So grandma will have to find more fun things to do in here.
What’s the weather doing at your place. Is it normal or totally crazy?
It's now as cold as February normally gets here. But we've had a string of warmer days, in the 50s f. Very confusing for plants and people.
ReplyDeleteIt’s not wonder our summer harvests have been down.
DeleteGosh it’s been really cold over here near the hills. 8c most of the day! Your chooks will be saying ‘thank you very much’ with the new roof to keep them dry. Will this cold put them off laying at all.
ReplyDeleteOh and sorry about yesterday’s comment- it was supposed to be humorous but didn’t come out right.
I don’t know what comment you mean. I’m sure it was humorous.
DeleteYes the chickens have gone off the lay. I wonder if they’re already moulting for the winter growth. If so it’s not a good sign for a normal winter. Be ready for cold
I can't work out what season it is.
ReplyDeleteI don’t think Mother Nature can either
DeleteWow thats cold. We're due for 30 deg here in NZ tomorrow. 23 deg here at 11pm.
ReplyDeleteIt’s that horrid polar blast. Its only supposed to last a week and then back to higher temps. It’s not doing my gardens any good
DeleteWinter has finally arrived here though it's sunny today. Sun with teeth as they say here. Snow is on its way.
ReplyDeleteYour weather really is topsy turvy. I read somewhere about a volcano in Tonga being one of the reasons
Oh I hadn’t heard that.
DeleteThere is nothing between us and the South Pole so when the winds come from there we feel it.
That has to be colder than we are today. Daffodils are starting to open up here so we have to accept that spring is on the way now.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get a lovely spring. But I don’t want a very hot summer. I’ll be in London in may. I want to be able to walk around without huffing and puffing too much lol
DeleteI have a dehydrator but never think to use it!! Bad me!
ReplyDeleteI love chickens but they can be so much work...but worth it.
hugs
