Melbourne cup

Today is the day we run the race that stops. Nation.
Only it’s pouring rain and cold. Much colder than the normal for this time of year.

I took this shirt video just outside home
It’s miserable out there

I’m currently sitting inside working on my latest mosaic crochet

We have the fire going and Netflix on the telly
Not much else we can do

If you have a flutter on the races I hope you win.
Me. Well I won’t even bother.
Stay warm and dry

  2. Freezing cold here as well - I’ve put the fire on for a bit. Pity all those ladies in their frilly frocks….they’ll be frozen! Yellow and green, spring colours

  5. That crochet that you show us so casually! I'm here for it. And I've looked up the Melbourne Cup so now I know what sport at least. Otherwise I'd be wondering what sport you do in frilly frocks!

    1. If you Google the queen cal by tinna you will find lots of info on it. Since I’ve supersized it. I’m going to have to play around with the different parts of the pattern and make it look ok

  6. Our own Flemington Week experience years ago was freezing, but not wet. What on earth is bringing you so much rain? It sounds unbelievable, even by English standards.
