I received a lovely surprise today.
A Christmas card from Poros, Greece.
From the lovely local kiwi alien Her blog is always full of the goings on in
Her Greek family, and it makes me laugh as I see my family in her stories
Thank you so much for the wonderful surprise
You will never know. How much it cheered me up
It just goes to show you. The internet isn’t all evil, doom and gloom
There is always a light shining bright
Most people of world is kind.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
People are mostly good kind people. And that is what keeps us all going in the mad world
DeleteHi Angela. So glad the card arrived. I enjoy your blog just as much. It's a touch of home with a touch of Greece.
ReplyDeleteI'll keep on writing about the best of life here
And I’ll continue to stalk you lol
DeleteLet’s hope there are lots of good stories in our future and not so much doom and gloom
Indeed, good news stories don't sell copy, but at any community level they do far outweigh the bad news sensations. Maybe that is why we read a lot of blogs that share the contentment of daily lives lived without drama, enjoyed for what they are, and expressed with gratitude for the good bits - they reinforce that feeling that the normal world is (for most people) a mix of ups and downs, not entirely composed of just the glamorous bits dressed up for social media accounts. xxx Mr T and F
