Hot dam hot

Today has been declared a total fire ban day.
The temp is expect to hit a top of 38 degrees Celsius that’s 100 approximately
In the old Fahrenheit!

Strong winds a sudden change to thunderstorms and it’s the perfect recipe for disaster
My emergency app is going nuts with warnings all over the sate

Me. I’ve taken care of all the animals
Hung the sheets out to dry
And I’m planning on staying right here.

I might venture to the local supermarket to buy a cooked chook to have cold with salad for dinner
And maybe some ice-cream for a treat

Where ever you are around this big country of ours. Stay hydrated and safe
What’s the weather doing in your neck of the woods?

  1. It's -20C here in Alberta and we just got about 10 inches of snow.

  2. Stay safe, Angela, and cool. Here we have 50s f and rain. Quite a contrast.

    1. The cool change arrived early thankfully. But it’s very humid and there are fires burning around the state. Hopefully they can get them under control

    1. We do have hot summers these days. This summer has been a very mixed bag indeed

  4. Keep cool Angela. Have you got any cotton to crochet? 38 is far too hot to be comfortable with doing anything but sitting in front of a fan

    1. It didn’t get that hot. Thankfully. But it was very warm. I’ve had the air condition on

  5. It has come back up from -2 night before last to feeling like just over freezing due to windchill..overcast and damp as well, gale force winds disrupting travel in the west of Scotland..and a promise of more cold to come... thankfully..it is Winter here and has been far too mild

    1. It seems the seasons are now arriving later than they used too. Our summer started mild and wet. Which means there was lots of growth in the bush. So our fire rating as gone through the roof. It’s the perfect recipe for disaster.
We are just hoping and praying that we don’t get a repeat of the bushfires of a few years ago where the whole state was on fire
