Westminster Abbey. Kensington palace

This morning we were off to Westminster Abbey. We didn’t have to wait in line because the tours have their own entrance. Bonus

The Throne King Charles sat in for the coronation

The ceiling is carved stone

There are many final resting places of famous people but also monuments to them even if they’re buried elsewhere

So much history and so many royals buried here. A wonderful place you could easily spend hours at

Once we left we headed off to Kensington palace. The one time home of a young Princess one day to be Queen Victoria and more recently princess Dianna.

There was an exhibition of fashions

And in the rooms of the young princess Victoria

The memorial gardens

Her statue unveiled by her sons

We even got to have tea at the pavilion near her gardens. It was lovely

After cucumber sandwiches scones and tea we headed back onto our bus

The rest of my little gang was dropped off near Harrods. But I came back home. I need to rest
I hope your enjoying the trip as much as I am. Still plenty more to see and do

  2. Westminster Abbey is one big cemetery. A fascinating place to visit though kind of creepy too. At least that's how it struck me.
