The in between

The rain has stopped for now. But more storms are predicted for later in the week. 

So after swimming I headed off to Bunnings to buy some seedlings 

Mine are not growing fast at all. This morning I had to defrost my car so even in a hot house I don’t think the temps are getting high enough 

I got a nice selection of things we eat the most 

Lebanese zucchini’s in  this garden bed. Also squash and capsicum 







I’ve planted all of the two punnets of tomatoes in these. I’ve added more than one in each and I’ll trim off leaves as they grow 





Cucumbers in this bed, it needs mulching. I’ll get hubby to help me lift the big bags 





And black eggplants  in the two round pots 





The potatoes have finally taken off   I’ll top them up one more time 



The strawberries are looking happy. Every time I go out there I rotate the pot round so they all get plenty of sun 

I still need to plant out the second tower



I feel better now I’ve got lots of seedlings in the ground. I’ve got the four big wicking beds to clear and then I’ll plant more in those. I’ll wait a few weeks so I get a longer harvest rather than all in the one or two weeks 

The floods are causing havoc all over the state. Country towns are cut off and even if peoples houses have escaped the floods, are finding it hard to get supplies as the trucks can’t get through to replenish the supermarkets 

We are getting told that it’s not over yet. A scary thought
