Day two of rain
And it’s cold again the temp has halved since Saturday
No need to tell you what that feels like in my poor body
At least the resident duck population is liking this weather
Don’t get me wrong. We do need rain But it’s been pouring and now rivers across the state have flood warnings.
We have had, and still have, bush fires raging. Some of these rivers are in the fire areas
Our poor little farm is smack bang in the middle of all this.
Our neighbours that live there have kept us informed
It looks like our little patch of earth has been spared from the flames.
But now we wait to see if the local rivers rise
Either way for us it’s not a catastrophe. There is nothing on there to replace. Except fencing. But for the community it could be disastrous
The bush, as always regenerates
With luck the rain will fall on the fires, and not just upstream. And the rivers won’t overflow their banks
Yup this is Australia
The land of droughts and flooding rains!
ReplyDeleteIt is raining here so I am hoping the fires are well and truly out.
Everything looks green and beautiful though!
ReplyDeleteThis is a worrying time. Yes, let's hope the rain helps extinguish the fires.
ReplyDeleteGreat for your garden and the ducks. Hope it doesn't affect you too much
