Another year round the sun

56 years to be exact.
Went  swimming this morning came home and decided that I wasn’t going to just sit around.
So I went outside to deal with the rose  garden. It had so many reeds growing I could hardly see my roses.

They’re too hard to pull out. So I just cut them off at ground level. I’ll have to start spraying them as they shoot out up again

The normal weeds I pulled out. It’s looking so much better

I’ve been working on a painting since Christmas. Really helped me relax and stay grounded   I think I finished it today.
I’ve decided I need a bigger variety of greens

That’s supposed to be a tin shed. In case you were wondering lol

New Year’s Eve day I hopped into my car to get some last minute things from the supermarket and a massive spider ran past my leg and up under the dash.
Well I wasn’t going to drive anywhere in my car after that. So I took the big car and got some napalm to drown the inside of my car in

Today I drove the big car again to the pool and hubby took my car apart to find a body.
If he couldn’t find one id torch the car.

But he did. We think the combination of toxic gases and extreme heat did him in.

Car is saved and I can drive it again.

I’ve been visited by my kids and spent some time laughing with them.
I received lovely gifts. But honestly just seeing them was enough

Not sure what I’ll do the rest of today. Hubby is taking me out for dinner so that will be nice

The weather is much nicer today. So I might sit outside and admire my hard work

  1. Happy birthday to you. And may you have many more of them.
I agree, it's wonderful just to have the family around you. I don't need presents. Enjoy your birthday dinner!

  2. Poor spider. Was it more poisonous than the napalm? F is a bit of a creepy crawlies nutter, but even she admits Oz has some humdingers when it comes to poisonous.

    2. Not poisons but they do bite. And they’re gross

  3. I hope your day was wonderful. Spiders don't bother me. Worms and snakes paralyse me.

  4. Happy birthday! You're younger than my son, that's pretty young. I'm glad you enjoyed the day. Your artwork is looking very proficient. What do you do with your works when finished?
