Finished

I think. Not happy with plants. I might paint over it. Or leave it and try something else.
We will see

Like they say practice makes perfect.
I guess I need lots more practice

  1. Ive been making and exhibiting art for decades, and I don't think I've ever been satisfied with a piece. It's the nature of it -- best you can do at the time. But the artist isn't always the best judge, particularly right after finishing a work. Look again in a couple of weeks, and you might like it better.

    1. This is exactly what my teacher says. Walk away and come back.
If I think it’s worth saving. I’ll paint over the pots and redo that bit. Otherwise I may just paint over the whole lot.

  2. I love the style. Great choice of subject too but plants are challenging on such a background...getting them to look 3D. I don't think you need to; they suit the style in which you represented the building.

    1. Thank you. I’ve put it in the too hard basket for now I do like to experiment so I now know not to do it that way again
